How to donate your Whippet's DNA

Using an AHT cheek swab kit to take the DNA is quick & easy. Instructions are provided.
The more information that accompanies each DNA sample the more useful it is likely to be.
You will need to fill in a form with the dog’s name, breed, KC registration number, D.O.B. and coat colour. This information is kept strictly private by the Animal Health Trust. You will also be asked for a copy of the dog’s 5 generation pedigree and for any information about the health of your dog.
If you are sending in a sample from a dog with a health problem please supply as much information as you can about the condition and any vet reports if you have them. We have a form to help you.The DNA from your whippet could help with very valuable research for whippets in the future.
